Dobbs Ferry, NY -- The Greenburgh Hebrew Center (GHC) will be hosting a Prospective Member Open House on Wednesday, July 21, from 7:30 pm to 9:15 pm at the synagogue. Attendees will meet Rabbi Barry Kenter, New Religious School Director Irit Kornblit, Nursery School Director Jackie Binstock and various lay leaders. Members will give tours of this beautiful and contemporary synagogue.
People interested in learning about GHC’s 2-day a week Religious School, Sunday School (for younger children), Nursery School, Teen youth group (USY), Sisterhood, Social Action or other educational and fun social activities for adults and children,are encouraged to attend. Greenburgh Hebrew Center is now a part of Gateway, an affordable, special dues program for families with young children who join GHC and the Tarrytown JCC. Free Courtesy synagogue membership is also available to families who enroll their oldest child in the Gan, Aleph or Bet classes (grades K, 1 or 2) at the Religious School or in the Nursery School.
Children can enjoy fun activities at the Open House. Delicious desserts and beverages will be served.
The Greenburgh Hebrew Center is a conservative synagogue and has daily services that are spirited, egalitarian and participatory. The membership is a friendly and welcoming community.
