New Rochelle, NY, August 4, 2010 -- Senator and Deputy Majority Leader Jeffrey D. Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) responded to Westchester Herald's request about the New Rochelle Home Rule Bill on the IDA wrote the following, "While I have yet to receive a letter or additional information on the specifics of this home rule request, I am happy to meet with the New Rochelle City Council to discuss the matter. In addition, I will be contacting the Mayor and the Council to determine their intent with regard to this legislation,."
The home rule request impacting the conduct of the New Rochelle Industrial Deveklopment Agency was moved forward by New rochelle Councilmembers Richard St. Paul, Louis Trangucci and Albert Tarantino. The three Republican advise they have contacted Senator Suzi Openheimer and State Assembly Representatives Amy Paulin and George Latimer.
