Buffalo, NY, August 15, 2010 -- Carl Paladino, the candidate seeking the Republican nomination for New York Governor, today blasted Attorney General Andrew Cuomo upon reading a report in the New York Post [read Andy's Already Pulling Strings BY Annie Karni] which revealed that Cuomo and Governor David Paterson have already begun working on a gubernatorial transition, long before the election has been held. Transitions usually take place after a November election through January.
"If this isn't a presumptuous sense of entitlement, I don't know what is," Paladino said. "Andrew is measuring for new drapes in the Governor's mansion before the voters have even spoken. It's insulting to the electorate."
"The same people who brought us Mario Cuomo, Eliot Spitzer and David Paterson now offer us more of the same in Andrew Cuomo," said the Buffalo developer and Tea Party activist. "Andrew shouldn't be counting his chickens and the special interests protected for decades by he and his Albany ruling class pals shouldn't rest easy just yet."
"Perhaps the Attorney General should spend more time weeding out contributions to his campaign from people he is regulating - or investigating and returning corrupt cash - and less time planning his ascendancy to the throne," Paladino said.
