Only Commissioner Longworth was on vacation.
The Administration confirmed the appearance of Longworth and Sutton July 13th. They did not show. (Oros email).
The Administration requested the Board move the GRES meeting from August 3rd to August 5th and we would have the legislation August 4th. That did not happen. (Plunkett email).
The Administration did not deliver the Legislation in time for the August 9th meeting.
I received a copy at the Police Board meeting August 11th. The date of the initial proposal was JUNE 24. (attached).
The Legislation was finally delivered August 12th. Remember the announcement was JULY 28th. This was after an email to Oros 8/11.
So I subpoenaed the Commissioners and Deputies to give the same presentation that was given to the police board. The Administration stated the Commissioners would be present August 24 so their appearance by subpoena is adjourned until them. The subpoenas are still I'm effect. We will see them on the 24th.
The fact is there was a Commissioners meeting at 10am on the 17th. Commissioner Sutton and Deputy Commissioner Yasinski were not only available but in the building - one floor up. The Board has been more than patient in this matter. The Administration will make these changes a part of their budget submission.
I will forward the emails to you separately.
I hope you will correct the inaccurate information. The Administration simply has been recalcitrant.
