Briarcliff Manor, NY, September 9, 2010 -- After 27 years, Mr. & Mrs. Orfino have hung up their aprons and retired. Orfino’s Café, the charming family restaurant in Briarcliff is now in the hands of their son, Michael Orfino, and his wife Linda. Michael and Linda are certainly not new to Orfino’s. Michael originally started the business with his mother. Linda, ran the front while Michael did the cooking on a grill. Linda recalls that her daughter Lina, now an adult, used to run around the restaurant in a walker taking French fries from the patrons. Now Lina is a teacher who helps out at the restaurant when needed.
Recently a kitchen fire caused the Restaurant to close for a month. With that near disaster behind them Linda and Michael Orfino are unveiling their new look, new style, new menu and expanded Wine list!
And, to show their appreciation, Linda and Michael have invited the Briarcliff Firemen and women to the Restaurant for a pasta and meatball dinner on Monday September 13th.
The Orfino’s are most grateful to the volunteers for keeping fire damage to a minimum, for their care and concern following the fire and also their help and counsel in getting Orfino’s reopened as quickly as possible.
Orfinos has always been well regarded in the area for its pasta dishes. Now the new menu includes veal, pork, beef and fish dishes. New appetizer selections have been added to the menu as well as affordable and delicious wines to compliment any meal.
New appetizers include Polpettini Fritti, tiny fried meatballs served on a bed of ricotta, and Shrimp and white bean – jumbo shrimp sautéed with white beans, garlic and scallions.
New Dinner salads – small and dinner size include Walnut and Goat Cheese, An Arugula salad with toasted walnuts, goat cheese and homemade walnut vinaigrette.
Thirteen pasta choices are offered. All served with salad.
One of the chicken selections is Chicken Toscana with spinach, prosciutto, mozzarella, white wine and garlic.
The Veal Rustica is a tender veal dish sautéed with shrimp, peas, mozzarella, and mushrooms.
From the Grill, a new menu selection is Espresso rubbed lamb chops coated with Orfino’s secret espresso rub, grilled to perfection and served with vegetable and potato, salad, or pasta.
Seafood choices include Salmon Marichiara – fresh Atlantic Salmon with clams, calamari, garlic, onions, white wine and a touch of marinara sauce.

Wednesday night is now Family Night as the Orfino’s serve Family Style meals which feed 4 for only $21.95 including salad!
Thursday night is grill night with several grill specials including Rack of Baby back Ribs-mouth watering fall of the bone ribs, grilled in a sweet Barbecue sauce.
Orfino’s lunch menu includes Daily specials starting at $8.95 all of their menu choices are available for take out at lunch or dinner. Orfinos also specializes in off or on premise catering!
