Rye Town Park, NY, August 16, 2010 -- Rye Sculptor Bob Clyatt
has created a new project, which will be on display in the pond area of Rye
Town Park from August 21 through October 24.
The piece is entitled “Heads Composition – 45”. It consists of 45 ceramic heads arranged in a
cluster of free-standing stacks. A separate
large head is set apart, at the tip of the pond’s peninsula.
A public reception for the artist and exhibit will be held
from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 12th. Refreshments will be served.
The heads are all inspired by local people, sculpted by
Clyatt during the past year. “Friends,
students, studio staff, relatives – they’re all fair game”, says Clyatt. The pieces are installed in a cluster
inspired by a photograph Clyatt made of saguaro cacti in Arizona.
