New York, NY, October 3, 2010 -- "An investigative report released today reveals that Carl Paladinohas pocketed $3 million in taxbreaks by promising to jump start economic revival in the Buffaloarea, but in reality he has only created a handful of jobs. Moreover, according to the report, while he claims to have made investments through his holdings, Paladino has often just sold himself vacant lots he already owned. To this day, these lots remain undeveloped. This report makes it clear that Paladino has abused State programs to gain millions in government tax breaks while not delivering any of the jobs or real economic development he promised.

In the September 9th Journal News, my opponent, Sandy Galef, said, "I think this is the year for change."
I agree with her. It is time for a change, a change we can believe in. She also noted her leadership in the movement to consolidate and merge local governments, as well as placing limits on property-tax increases. However, as a constituent, I have not seen any change. All that I have seen is taxpayer funded forums, conversations and press releases with no action toward real reform.

Yonkers, NY, August 23, 2010 -- Liam McLaughlin,Republican and Conservative Party candidate for State Senate(SD-35) today issued a press release blasting incumbent Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins for her addiction to spending; asserting she had spent $652,486 this year and demanding a full accounting of how the funds were spent. The so-called “wasteful” spending charge derived from the August 22, 2010, Journal New article in which the cost of the Senator’s staff and related expenses relating to the operation of her district office was divulged. The sum total is correct. The assertion of the sum spent as “wasteful” is ludicrous and nothing more than a deceitful political ploy.
