New Voting Machines Create Privacy Concerns

The poor turnout (and new election machine problems) in today’s primary for state-wide office highlights the need for New York State to do something differently. New York should do what Oregon and other states have been doing. Let voters cast their ballots by mail over a two week period.

Statement by Town Supervisor Paul Feiner Regarding Fortress Bible Church Decision

 Greenburgh, NY,  August 14, 2010 -- Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner issued the following statement on Friday, August 13, 2010:

"I am disappointed with the Order and Opinion of Judge Robinson, issued more than three years after the conclusion of the trial, and on his last day on the federal bench. It is not appropriate for a Court to substitute its judgment for the judgment of elected municipal officials who relied on the opinions of independent professional traffic consultants during the environmental review process.

 GREENBURGH, NY, August 4, 2010 -- “Great news!”, exclaimed Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner when he advised Stellaris Health Network and Empire Blue Cross / Blue Shield had resolved their 4 months’ old stalemate.

“You now have access to White Plains Hospital, Lawrence Hospital, Phelps and Northern Westchester Hospital again,”exclaimed Supervisor Feiner, “if you are enrolled in the Empire health plan.

 We know that many politicians pander to their constituents. It’s not limited to only one party. Although I can certainly point a finger toward certain politicians and knowingly be correct, the one thing we continually hear from many of the current administrations from the local to the federal levels is the need for a stimulus package to create jobs. It’s a concept that seems on target; is this what we really need?
